The line of "Amantea" ceramics were born with the intention of presenting products of the highest quality that could be used as suovenir but also be used in the kitchen to present typical Calabrian dishes. Our ceramics are entirely handmade by a Cosenza company that still today works the ceramic by hand and decorates it by hand. The main difference with souvenir ceramics is that our ceramics line is suitable for contact with food
A ceramic to be defined as "suitable for contact with food" must meet certain requirements, specifically all objects must be made following certain production standards and must not transfer components capable of constituting a danger or altering them to food.
In Calabria, but not only, the use of the so-called hard bread cutter is more than a custom, it is almost a way of life. The generic use of this product derives from the fact that hard bread is kept for a long time while keeping its fragrance and taste intact. This characteristic object allows to offer an alternative to the traditional plate where the baganta cutter was placed.
The colors of the product for sale may vary and it is not possible to choose them. The dimensions of the product can vary as it is a ceramic entirely handmade and therefore unique even in size.
