The Tropea Red Onion, once imported by the Phoenicians, is still grown in Calabria, in the area between Amantea and Tropea. From the oval shape, its sweetness and its valuable characteristics are due to the particularly stable microclimate in winter, without sudden changes in temperature due to the mildness exerted by the proximity of the sea, and of the cool and loamy soils. In this ready sauce we enclose the red Tropea onion and the artisanal tomato sauce to give you a high quality product.
