Amaro dell'Abate is born from the ancient liqueur tradition of the Florense monks who settled in San Giovanni in Fiore in the year 1000 and through the use of Silane herbs, ideal drunk at the end of a meal, excellent in accompanying traditional sweets.
Link with the territory La Sila in its woods and clearings is rich in aromatic essences with an intoxicating scent and multiple healing properties. The custom of gathering herbs to obtain digestive liqueurs was born in monasteries and abbeys by the herbalist monks who had a deep knowledge of plants and had discovered every virtue.
Amaro, which is obtained by maceration in distilled water and pure alcohol, is composed of a mixture of bitter and aromatic herbs, the recipe of which is strictly kept secret.
